Two-week Summer School Programme commences at Amity University
Over 200 students from 115 schools across India and abroad participate in the Programme
The 19th Batch of Two-week Summer School Programme, from 9th to 20th June 2024, kickstarted at Amity University Noida Campus, with participation of over 200 school students from 115 schools across India and abroad. Summer School Programme provides school students with an opportunity to experience University life before stepping into college life and allows them to make more informed career decisions.
Students of Class 9th-12th, from various schools in India such as Scottish School, Heritage School, Manav Rachna School, Lancer Institute and other countries including Ethiopia, Muscat, Bangladesh, Indonesia and South Africa, are participating in the Programme.
Highlighting the significance of the Programme, Dr. Anjani Kumar Bhatnagar, Deputy Director, Amity Technical Placement Centre, said, “The two-week Summer School Program provides the opportunity to the students to delve into various areas, including management, law, engineering and journalism, which equips them with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in various fields. Aligned with the institution’s vision of holistic development, a curated series of extra-curricular activities, including guest lectures by industry experts, personality grooming sessions, cultural activities and sports activities, are also being organized for the students with the aim to foster leadership, creativity, and collaborative skills and nurture their talent and skills.”
Participants will explore over 30 diverse and cutting-edge courses over the intensive two-week period on Amity's vibrant campus. From delving into the frontiers of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Electronics & Communication, Aerospace & Avionics, Nanotechnology, Film Awareness & Film Making & other creative realms and attributes from which students gain firsthand experience across a wide spectrum of potential career paths. During the two-week Program, various sessions such "Confidence, Communication, and a touch of class: The Finishing Touches to Success", by Amity Finishing School, “Fearless in the Sky, Relentless on the Ground" by Indian Airforce, "How AI Impacts Our Lives – From Social Media to Healthcare" by Amity Centre for Artificial Intelligence, "Creating a Short Film: Write, Shoot & Perform!" by Amity School of Film & Drama and others will be conducted. In addition, vintage Sports, cultural activities including music, dance and drama, debate, photography, quiz competitions, and sports activities will also be organized.
