PROF. ARUN PATIL

Pro Vice-Chancellor and Pro President of Amity University, Rajasthan

Prof Patil has done PhD and Master of Engineering Science from Monash University, Australia. Prof Patil also holds an Adjunct A/Professor position at Deakin University, Australia; Visiting Professor at Tomsk Polytechnic University, Russia; and Academic Advisor to University of Technical Education Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

He was the Director of Postgraduate Coursework Studies and Director of Deakin Engineering Education Research (DEER) in the School of Engineering, Deakin University, Australia. His previous academic positions include Deputy Dean at Central Queensland University, Australia and Project Officer/Research Scholar at Monash University, Australia.

Professor Patil has received many awards, including the Australian government’s ‘Endevour Executive Award’; Deakin University, School of Engineering’s Award for ‘Overall Contribution to the School’; ‘Vice-Chancellor’s Award for Best Practices in Learning and Teaching’ by Central Queensland University, Australia and ‘Silver Badge of Honour’ from Monash University, Australia for his significant contribution towards global engineering education.

Professor Patil is the Founding General Chair for the prestigious ‘International Engineering and Technology Education Conference’ (IETEC) Series held since 2011.

He is internationally recognised for his expertise in curriculum design/development, university audits, accreditation and reviews.

PROF S.L. KOTHARI

Prof Kothari has been awarded US Govt. Fulbright Fellowship to work at University of Illinois, USA. His work on cell fusion and recombination in mitochondrial genome has been regarded as pioneering in the field. He was also awarded Commonwealth Academic Staff Fellowship and Rockefeller Biotechnology Career Fellowship (1989-1996). His work on Genetically Modified rice and other cereal crops is cited internationally.

Prof Kothari has been elected as Fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India, in 1997, and the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2008 for his outstanding contributions in the field of Agricultural Biotechnology.

He was the Founder Director of the Centre for Converging Technologies (CCT) at University of Rajasthan. He has won various awards and accolades in Science.
