AICC has been pioneer in the field of making students industry-ready and helping them in enhancing their employability score. These workshops are aimed at sensitizing students about the specific requirements of the various organizations, promoting excellence, developing and enhancing their knowledge, attitude and creative thinking. These components are undoubtedly important in achieving success in professional life.
The workshop was conducted in ABIAS, sector 125, Noida on 21st February, 2018 from 10.15-12.15pm. The workshop targeted at empowering 57 students of B.El.Ed, DETT with the latest trends of interviews and knowledge of drafting a résumé.
The workshop was held in ASPESS, sector 125, Noida on 13th February 2018 from 10.15-12.15 pm. Résumé Writing Workshop was conducted in order to prepare the students of B.PES, MPES. These students were 50 in number and they were going to face companies / schools shortly. Workshop focused on preparing an effective résumé which is said “to be a gateway to job market”. The students were made aware of their individual skill-set and were exposed to importance of self-branding. The students were guided as to how they can create their customized résumé which will highlight their potential and abilities. Many of the students created the soft copies in the workshop itself and had a number of queries which were answered. As the students were to face interviews in schools, the FAQ session was organized so that they perform well in the same. Dr. Indu Rampal, Assistant Professor Grade III, AICC and Dr. Tanu Kashyap, Assistant Professor Grade III, AICC were the resource persons.
The workshop held at Amity Institute of Education, Sector 125, Noida on 17th January 2018. The duration of the workshop was from 11.15- 3.15pm. There were 170 students who were divided in three groups in three different class rooms. The target audience was the outgoing students of B.Ed & M.Ed programmes who were going to participate in the placement drive in immediate future; they were made aware of drafting an effective Résumé. They were guided as to how they can create a customized résumé which would earn them a call from reputed schools. They were also made aware of the practical application of interview skills which are very important component in grabbing the job opportunity. The students were given an exposure to various modes of mock interview. To give a holistic view of various phases of interview, they were empowered with the different strategies and techniques of cracking a GD. The topics selected were relevant to the current trends in Education industry. The students were given a practical skill enhancing session through demo Group Discussion. The objective of the workshop was to make students understand the purpose of group discussions, the qualities assessed through a GD, Dos &Don’t in a GD. Mock GD sessions were conducted and the feedback to the participants was given.
The emphasis was on making the target audiences understand the importance of projection in terms of skill set and abilities besides academic excellence through a well thought document called résumé. Participants prepared their résumés and feedback was provided.
Interview skills are the integral part of seeking an employment. The workshop addressed the importance of the different strategies in facing different types of interview. These techniques will undoubtedly help them to stand out of the crowd and encash the job opportunities.
An essay writing competition on the topic "Sports Transcend Boundaries" was organized on 29th September 2017. In this competition students from different institutions of Amity University participated. The winners were first position A0706116152 Anuja Haldar AIESR, second position A0706117158 Sanyukta Agarwal AIESR, and third position A1004815080 Priye Rai AIIT.
