  • ABOUT THE PROGRAM

    The Delhi cabinet has approved “Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha” in which Rs 5,000 will be provided to 1,000 meritorious students of Class 9th in schools of Delhi as a science scholarship. Announcing scholarship for meritorious students of class 9th, the Delhi government said that through this scheme, efforts will be made to promote scientific temper among children. The scholarship will provide a boost to science education in secondary classes at the school level.     Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha, MVPP is a scholarship exam conducted between January to March by the Science Branch of the Directorate of Education in Delhi.

    This exam was previously known as Junior Science Talent Search Examination. The main aim of exam is to identify and nuture the talents. This exam is conducted at state level. Students apearing in Class 9 of a recognized school in Government or Government Aided/Public/KV (Kendriya Vidyalaya) /Navodaya/NDMC (North Delhi Municipal Corporation) schools are eligible for the exam.

  • ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

    Only the students presently studying in Class IX in Govt., Govt. Aided and Unaided recognised Pvt. Schools including the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kendriya Vidyalaya, School of MCD, NDMC, DCB, etc. in GNCT of Delhi are eligible to apply for this exam. A student has to be a resident of Delhi to appear in this exam. With this, he/she must have attained 60% marks in class VIII. The exam gives relaxation of 5% in the marks to SC/ST and PH category.

    This examination will give an opportunity to students to set foot in the world of scholastic exams, thus lending them the much-needed competitive edge, confidence, as well as an insight into their strengths & weakness and, most importantly, where they stand.
