Amity School of Communication hosted a dynamic Fact-Checking workshop on February 7th, 2024, in collaboration with NewsMobile, a leading organization dedicated to debunking fake news. Attended by enthusiastic students from BAJMC and MAJMC programs, the event aimed to tackle the pervasive issue of misinformation in today's digital landscape.
Distinguished experts Ms. Vrishali Puranik and Mr. Abheet Raghav shared their insights and practical strategies for identifying and countering fake news, emphasizing critical thinking and fact-checking skills. Through engaging demonstrations of fact-checking tools such as Google reverse image search and IN Vid, participants gained firsthand experience in verifying information and distinguishing between credible and false sources.
The workshop's impact extended beyond the classroom, fostering collaboration between academia and industry to promote media literacy and combat misinformation effectively.
