ProBono Associates and faculty members at village Dantala Gujran
Pro Bono Club, along with the legal aid committee, Amity Law School, Amity University Rajasthan, under the Nyaya Bandhu scheme of the Department of Justice, Govt. of India, conducted the event of a Village Awareness Campaign on May 11, 2023. The event was graced with the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Saroj Bohra, chairperson of the Pro Bono Club and head of the department of Amity Law School, Amity University, Rajasthan. The event was executed by Mr. Shubham Shukla, nodal officer of Pro Bono Club, Ms. Bhawna, and Mr. Abhijay Chakraborty.
In total, 30 students participated in the event. All of the students who went on the trip, along with our esteemed faculty members, gave the village's residents legal assistance. They learned about the Department of Justice's Nayay Bandhu programme, which seeks to offer those who cannot afford legal representation free of charge. Additionally, they were informed about the Tele Law app, which was introduced by our respected Union Minister of Law and Justice. Our participants encouraged the locals to sign up for that app as beneficiaries, which will put them in direct contact with the attorneys providing legal counsel.
