From the Desk of Director

The Law School aims at imparting theoretical as well as practical knowledge of Law programs. The course structure has been designed to be at par with the international academic standards. Students receive practical exposure through Moot Court, Court Visits and Legal Aid Camps to understand nitty-gritty of Law programs.

Eminent jurists, judges, policy makers, and senior advocates form a part of regular interaction with the contemporary Legal scenario. The academic rigour acknowledges that questions of justice arise in all legal pursuits whether in courts, MNCs, PSUs, Corporations, academia or administration.

Using law as a tool to bring social change the University has been supporting fight for justice for land rights, social and gender empowerment and against hate speech and moral policing. The School is committed to contribute towards creating an ethical legal culture, which promotes the rule of law and help building an egalitarian, inclusive and sustainable society.

The School emphasizes on developing research aptitude among the students along with the regular classroom based teaching and following innovative pedagogy. Dissertation, declamation, case studies, visits to High Courts, legal departments in PSU and government organisations, is a part of academic curriculum.

The ALS has an inter-disciplinary approach to impart knowledge and hands-on training to students. There is convergence between the disciplines of law, social sciences, humanities, and management studies in both designing and teaching the curriculum to Law graduates.

The ALS faculty is a pool of academicians and legal experts from various domains. The budding lawyers carry out research activities under the able guidance of faculty. Teaching and research form an integral part of academic programs. Our faculty consistently writes and publishes research papers in various journals of repute.
