Amity Business School, Lucknow organised One-week Faculty Development Program on "Changing Legal Scenario in the Business World: Contemporary Issues" from 26th July-01st August 2021. The FDP organised with an aim to offer better understanding of the legal world and its impact on business.
Mr. Shiva Kumar Chairman, Audit Committee, UTI Trustee Co. Ltd., Ex MD, SBBJ (SBI Group), Ex Group President, Edelweiss, Founder Trustee, Swachh Sansaar Foundation was invited as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the event. The hon’ble Chief Guest appreciated the theme of the FDP by reiterating the fact that in business, there could be disagreement between shareholders, intellectual property rights might have breached, contract may have been drafted improperly, unethical disrespectful for competition, therefore law acts as the medium that ensures the distress is less and complexities are reduced with a passage of time.
In this FDP Eminent speakers from academia, corporate and law practitioner were invited, who adroitly spelled the importance of legal issues in day-to-day business operations and familiarized the participants about recently introduced laws their amendments, and integration with the corporate world.
In the valedictory, Mr. Vikram Sahay, Joint Secretary, Information and Broadcasting, Government of India was invited as the Chief Guest and Ms. Lalitha Pradeep, Additional Director (Basic Education), Lucknow and Prayagraj as Guest of Honor. The guests have shared highly important, valuable information and thoughts and reinforced among us the relevance of ethics and ethicality. The guests have emphasized the relevance of Ethics in curriculum along with creating an eco-system where learners can practice and orient themselves.
The Event Convenor was Dr Jayanti Srivastava and the co-convenors were Prof (Dr.) Alpana Srivastava, Dr Richa Raghuvanshi, Dr. Komal Malik, Dr. Tanuj Mathur and Dr Upendra Nath Shukla. The event organized under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Rohit Kushwaha, Director ABS & AILA. The event was attended by over seventy participants from various parts of the country.
