Amity School of Communication in association with Phia Foundation and Panasonic India organized a short-film and documentary making competition ‘Pehel’ for change makers. This competition aimed to provide a platform for change makers who had received gender sensitization training over a year to create short films and documentaries that brought gender issues to the forefront using their filmmaking skills. This competition, combined with a two-day workshop, ensured that students' skills were developed in order to improve their knowledge of filmmaking. The competition's themes were language, freedom of choice, parenting, honor, and division of labor.
This competition involved 50 students working with five faculty mentors, Mr. Amit Massey, Mr. Trilochan Singh Kalra, Ms. Alisha Syedain, Dr. Neelu Sharma and Ms. Arpita Singh; to create ten productions.
