“Be Smartly Fearless” says Mr. Abhinay Deo!
Amity School of Communication (ASCO) and Amity Film School (AFS), Mumbai organised a very enriching webinar on “CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES IN FILM MAKING” by versatile Film Director Mr. Abhinay Deo. Students learnt the nuances of film making along with the contemporary challenges that young film makers are facing in the rapidly changing times.
Addressing the young media students, Mr. Abhinay Deo shared some key insights as noted “Be smartly fearless! Be true and stay relevant when creating anything and never forget where you come from. It is okay to fail because you learn a lot from failure but make sure you give your more than 100% in the work you do. Never fear from innovation and experimentation!”
He added, “Don’t fear the change instead be the change”. Abhinay shared his wisdom of working on various formats form Ad films, Feature Films, Television format as well as Docu-fiction.
Through the conversation, he constantly inspired the recipients with his profound perspectives in film making.
Students were extremely overwhelmed to learn from his experience and journey.
He connected with the audience so well that everyone could relate with his journey as he too has been there and done that like many other urban youth of today.
It was a tremendous exposure for the Students of Amity University and students across India as they seek lessons from the master craftsman himself, the multi-faceted man of the moment decoarated with over 70 International Awards, including the Gold at Cannes Lion and Filmfare,
as he shared the trivia from every work of his in the Indian Media Industry. He is known to be a Trend Setter, Maker of Cult classic cinema and never fail to experiment across all genres in Film Making.
He advises students to accept and adapt to the changing times and keep chasing your dreams no matter what yet stay relevant by being ever so curious and have an insatiable appetite for more.
His mantra is ‘LET YOUR WORK SPEAK’.
The session was moderated by Dr. Nima J. John (Officiating Head of Institution, Amity School of Communication, Amity Film School and Amity School of Animation, AUM) and was attended by students and faculties from across the country from various institutions.
While inspiring the young budding professionals of the future she advised “Learn to absorb from the environment and adapt yourself to any and every situation and convert every adversity to opportunity.” She rightly pointed out the highlights of his filmography in the Webinar “CONTEMPORARY CHALLENGES IN FILM MAKING” making it more interesting for the audiences.
