The one day ONE SHOT’ `FILM - WORKSHOP+COMPETITION was organised by Amity School of Communication and Amity Film School on 30th March, 2022. Ex-Senior Vice President BANIJAY ASIA World's largest international content producer and distributor - Makers of 'CALL MY AGENT', 'HOSTAGES', 'INTO THE WILD' with BEAR GRILLS,'THE KAPIL SHARMA SHOW', 'MISSION FRONTLINE', 'THE BIG PICTURE', Mr. Praver Awal was the chief guest of the event. The event was graced by the presence of Vice Chancellor Lt. Gen VK Sharma and Pro VC Dr AW Santhosh Kumar Sir who were the guest of honour for the event. Dean Academics, Amity University Mumbai, Dr Shrikant Charhate and Dean Student Welfare Dr.Gautam Gawali were the special guest of honour for the program. Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Dr AW Santosh Kumar delivered the chief note address. The chief guest and the speaker of the program Mr. Praver Awal was introduced to the audience highlighting his significant work and contribution to industry. The first segment of the program ‘THE SEED’ began with the address of chief guest Mr. Praver Awal who delivered the keynote address and gave an insight of the workshop.
In the second segment ‘The Big Ptich’ the chief guest Mr. Praver Awal talked about How to create a Pitch for funding? and How to sell your Ideas? He also talked about his work and interacted with the students and audience. This was followed by the briefing of the competition. All the rules and guidelines were briefed to the participants and contestants. Total seven teams participated in the ‘One-Shot' film competition. In the third segment of the event ‘MISE-EN-SCENE’ all the team leaders interacted with the Chief guest and talked about the theme, idea, and execution. The chief guest guided the competitors for execution of ideas and making of ‘One-Shot’ film. In the fourth segment ‘REAL TO REEL’ the chief guest talked about the ‘The process from Production to Execution’. This was followed by a cultural event where the students of various schools participated. All the One-shot films which contestants shot for the competition were screened to the audience and the team leaders talked about the challenges faced by them. In the fifth segment ‘A Fine Cut’ the top three works were selected, and winners were announced by the HoI Dr. Nima John.
The winners were felicitated by the chief guest Mr. Praver Awal, Dean Academics Dr. Shrikant Charhate, Controller of Examinations Sandeep Gundeti and Deputy Director-CRC Sanjay Gouda.
