• Design Competition 2019 “TRASH TO TREASURE” from 23rd -25th SeptemberIn the design competition “TRASH TO TREASURE” hosted by Pearl Academy two teams from B.Des (Fashion Design) participated; Rutuja Konde and Divya karan won 2nd prize and Lavanya Murali and Remya E.K won consolation prizes. The task was to prepare articles using any waste materials. Both the teams created eco-friendly sustainable re-usable articles out of paper and domestic textile waste which were highly appreciated.

Amongst the many participants Mohammad Saif Ali and Anushka Rawat (Fashion Design) won 2nd prize and a prize worth 3,000/- and Ankita Aggarwal and Mansi Lohar Nitin from (Fashion Design) got a special mention for their design concept.
  • Leading Sustainability through Collaboration and Co Creation : A “Green Design Project” was conducted by Sophia Polytechnic, Mumbai in association with Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s School of Fashion Technology, Pune on 26th September 2019 at Sophia Campus, Mumbai646 participants registered from 21 institutions for the contest, of which, 10 were shortlisted for the final round. Two of our Fashion Design students; Ms. Aksshaya Venkat and Ms. Sejal Thakur were shortlisted for the final presentation. Sejal Vijay Thakur of B.Des (FD) Sem VII won the 1st prize in “Green Design Project”. Her theme stressed upon the importance of arts and crafts of Maharashtra and it’s considerable share in the sustainable fashion movement in India’s market. The spur of this project was to make people aware about the significance of recycling & reusing and showcasing eminence of Sustainability in the Fashion Industry and the future of the world. This will also help create employment opportunities for the women of rural Maharashtra.
  • Archroma National Design Competition: Ms. Akshaya Venkat, B.Des (Fashion Design), student was amongst the top finalists for National level student contest on theme ‘Denim Innovation’. Conducted by Society of Dyers & Colorists- SDC, UK

  • Sports Championship of ‘Sangathan’ AIBAS Students won the Sports Championship of ‘Sangathan’ Amity Inter School Sports Meet 2019.
    AIBAS has always supported holistic health development and the Students have proved that healthy Mind compliments Physical health by being the best Performing School in ‘Sangathan’.
  • National Design Competition by Vanya Silk Market Promotion Cell, Central Silk Board & Silk Mark Organization of India.: Madhubala Reddy, B.Des (Fashion Design) & Prachee Vaipurkar, B.Des (Fashion Design), Aksshaya Venkat, B.Des (Fashion Design), students received a certificate of appreciation for their designs of Vanya (wild) silk.
  • National Design contest by Liva Potege’: Amit Shil, B.Des.(Fashion Design) & Aksshaya Venkat, B.Des (Fashion Design) were amongst the top 5 designs selected from Mumbai.
  • Aksshaya Venkat’s DesignsNational Design Contest by Max: Aksshaya Venkat, B.Des. Fashion Design student was among the finalists.
  • National Interdisciplinary Conference 2016, Amity University Mumbai on Green Technology & Sustainable Development Indigenous Practices: Priyanka Agarwal & Aksshaya Venkat (Fashion Design) students won the best research paper award, research title: Green Designers.
  • Nirmala Niketan College of University of Mumbai: Aksshaya Venkat, B.Des. Fashion Design, (Sem VI) student bagged the 2nd runner up position.
  • ITM fashion design competition: ASFDT students were awarded the 2nd prize for the intercollegiate fashion show competition held at ITM College.
  • SIES Fashion Design Competition: ASFDT students were the finalists for the inter college fashion show competition held at SIES College.
  • Anushka Rawat, B.Des-Fashion Design student presented a poster and secured 2nd position in Annual National Conference 2017- “WALKING THE RAMP OF FASHION ICONOGRAPHY”
