Dr. Shantanu Bhattacharya (Professor Mechanical Engineering and Head Design Program, IIT Kanpur) delivered an inspiring talk on "Printed & Flexible Super Capacitors for Flexible & Wearable Electronics using Solar Energy" on September 19, 2019. Major topics covered in the talk were How Renewable Energy helps, Energy Storage Devices, Carbon Based Energy Storage Devices, Conventional Methods of Super Capacitor Electrode Fabrication, the emergence of Ink-jet Printing Technology for Super Capacitor Fabrication and Commercialization Prospect of Renewable Energy based Technologies in the Market. He has also discussed about his research work on early detection of Dengue in secondary patients.
The Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering, ASET, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh organized an expert talk on "Renewable Energy Sources: An option or necessity" on 04-01-2016 by Dr. Aditya Maheshwari, Scientist, Institute of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, University of Muenster, Germany.

Dr. Aditya Maheshwari delivered an inspiring talk on "Renewable Energy Sources: An option or necessity". In his keynote address, he said that human race is going to face two serious problems in coming time: first fossil fuels are not going to be sufficient for more than 40 years and second, the pollution due to these fossil fuels is going to poison our atmosphere till as serious extent that either humans have to migrate from earth or the race tend to extinction. In this concern certain renewable energy like solar, wind, hydro energy into electricity is being used. He also added that one such kind of renewable energy devices that emerged in past few decades is Fuel Cells. Fuel Cells have good efficiency and has zero pollution rate. This is a new technology and therefore expensive now a days. However, researchers from all over the world are developing various new materials and designs to make it even more efficient and cost effective.
