An Awareness Program on Women Safety organised by DSW and Haryana Police on 28th September, 2023
Dean of Student Welfare, Amity University Gurugram in collaboration with Haryana Police organised an awareness program on Women Safety, on 28th September, 2023.
During the session, the Haryana Police team provided in-depth guidance on the '112 India' app, which offers eight essential features to enhance personal safety. They emphasized the app's role as a valuable tool for female students' safety and provided hands-on assistance to help install the app on their mobile devices. The '112 India' app offers a range of features, including emergency calling, location sharing, text messaging, safety tips, SOS alerts, community alerts, multilingual support, and contact sharing. A total of 250 students participated in the event, which was been coordinated by Prof Sanjna Vij.
In conclusion, the program demonstrated a shared commitment to creating a safer environment for women. It underlined the importance of collective endeavours in ensuring the well-being of all members of society.
