Centre of Excellence for Innovation in Education, Amity University Gurugram, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and the Pandit Chandra Kumar Mallick Memorial Charitable Trust, organized a two-day cultural festival, named "Indian Knowledge System: Peace & Harmony through Performing Arts," on November 6th and 7th, 2023. The event aimed to celebrate India's rich cultural heritage and explore the profound connection between performing arts and the Indian knowledge system.

During the event, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) P.B. Sharma highlighted the deep connections between India's knowledge system and performing arts. Pandit Uday Kumar Mallick shared insights on "Festival Culture," emphasizing the significance of festivals as carriers of tradition and knowledge. Padma Shree Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, a renowned classical music artist, spoke on the role of festivals in Indian culture and their contribution to preserving traditional knowledge. Internationally acclaimed artists, including Ustad Wasifuddin Dagar, Rishi & Mahima Upadhyay, Pranshu Chatur Lal, and Namrata Rai, enriched the festival with captivating performances. A total of 500 students and 25 faculty members participated in the event.

In conclusion, the cultural festival successfully celebrated India's cultural heritage and highlighted the profound connection between traditional art forms and the promotion of peace and harmony in society. The event showcased a commitment to advancing knowledge and cultural traditions, providing attendees with a deeper understanding of India's rich cultural heritage and the wisdom passed down through generations.
