Amity Science Technology & Innovation Foundation (ASTIF) and DST-PURSE under the aegis of Amity University Rajasthan organized a One Day Workshop on “Innovative Approaches to Research Methodology” on 19^th July 2023 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The workshop meticulously addressed some of the key areas of concern related to the commonly faced issues and challenges by a researcher in his/her research journey. The event received an overwhelming response from the participants and was attended by 110 Ph. D research scholars and faculty members.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Amit Jain, Vice Chancellor, AUR stressed the need for inculcating an ideal learning environment in an organization. Prof. (Dr.) G.K. Aseri, Pro Vice Chancellor, AUR emphasized the immense need for having a strong R&D facility in every University and as suggested by the UGC too.  Prof. (Dr.) S.L. Kothari, Vice President, ASTIF introduced the participants to the brief overview of the Workshop, its stated objectives, and expected outcomes. The full day event was split into 4 noteworthy sessions delivered by experienced speakers who shared their knowledge and expertise with the participants. Session 1 on “Research Methodology”- (Research Process, Construction of Tool, Validity and Reliability of a Tool, Framing and Testing of Hypothesis) gave an in depth understanding about the nitti gritties of Research Process. Session 2 on “Writing Literature Review”- (How to search relevant Literature and how to document it for future access) discussed about the backbone of research. The post lunch Session on “Data Analysis using SPSS for Beginners” was a hands-on training session providing significant information on how to analyze data using the right research method. The last Session on “Quality Parameters in Research and Publications: How to Enhance Quality” discussed different aspects of quality of publications and how to judge the credibility of a journal. The event was highly appreciated by the participants in terms of enhancement of knowledge and skill-based competency. 

The vote of thanks was delivered by the event coordinator, Dr. Tanushri Mukherjee, Dy Director Outcome, AUR and Associate Professor, ASCO, AUR.  Certificates were distributed by Dr. Tanushri and Dr. Umesh Dwivedi.
