Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus organized a Webinar on Wildlife Conservation: A DNA Perspective”, for all AIB faculty and students.
The Guest Speaker for the session was Dr Ajay Gaur, Principal Scientist, LaCONES, Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB) Hyderabad. The session was organized and conducted by Dr Jyoti Prakash, Assistant Professor, AIB_L, Dr Garima Awasthi Assistant Professor, AIB_L, and Dr Rachna Chaturvedi, Assistant Professor, AIB_L, under guidance of Prof (Dr) Janmejai Kumar Srivastava, Director, AIB_L.
A total of fifty five students and faculty attended the session and participants discussed various issues related with the Biodiversity and related issues, students also asked speaker about the training programme in CCMB, Hyderabad and how to approach for it. The second session after the guest lecture was the Poster presentation, in which 5 posters on the theme of Biodiversity were finally selected for presentation. Ms Priya Giri of B.Sc. (Honours) Biotechnology (V) semester secured first position, Ms. Adhya Sharma of B.Tech. (Biotechnology) (III) semester with Ms Mansi Verma of B.Tech.(Biotechnology) (V) semester secured second position and Mr. Anurag Singh of B.Sc. (Honours) Biotechnology (V) semester with Ms Srishti Shukla of B.Sc. (Honours) Biotechnology (V) semester secured third position in poster presentation during webinar. The winners were judged by Dr Ajay Gaur our Guest Speaker.
