AIBAS at Amity University Mumbai was established in 2015 with the vision to create trained human wealth in the fields demanding behavioral understanding and interventions. The school employs effective teaching learning environment in the core curriculum through continuous integration of training, field exposure, observations and research.

According to the National Mental health survey (NMHS, 2016), there is an immense need of mental health professionals in the country. Eventually, with programmes like B.Sc., Post-graduation and M.Phil. in clinical Psychology, the school works as catalyst to bridge the gap between the required and the available mental health professionals through assessment diagnosis and therapies.

On the other hand, the undergraduate programme in applied psychology would be helpful in providing human resource in various other industries viz. social and community development, schools/colleges, defense, artificial intelligence, organization behavior, animal studies, staff welfare and motivation through counselling and training.

Psych Insight is the monthly e-newsletter designed and published by students of AIBAS. Students receive guidance in this initiative from the faculty as and when required. Psych Insight facilitates university-vide information dissemination regarding significant developments in the field of mental health and related disciplines, academic discussions and research exposure to important developments and challenges arising in the field of mental health and wellness, and important activities of the department including conferences, workshops, student initiatives and other extra-curricular activities.
