IIC Of Amity University Mumbai Organized A Webinar On Lean Manufacturing- Lean is Simple –The American Innovator – Case Study FastCap

 Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology, in association with Institution’s Innovation Council Amity University Mumbai, organized an interactive E-lecture on 15th March, 2021, at 3 p.m. 

Institution’s Innovation Council or IIC focusses to create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem. It promotes Start-up supporting Mechanism in Higher Education Institutions and establishes Functioning Ecosystem for Scouting and Pre-incubation of Ideas. Innovation and Creativity have been the benchmark of Amity School of Fashion Design and Technology where students are encouraged to think creatively and& innovatively through academics, seminars, conferences and, co-curricular as well asand extra-curricular activities.
 
The session was conducted by Mr. Anurodh Agnihotri on the topic Lean Manufacturing- Lean is Simple- the American Innovator- Case Study FastCap. This session was inspired from Paul Aker’s speeches, books and various lean maniac activities performed at FastCap. He talked about ‘“Application of Lean Manufacturing in Hand Block Printing to increase productivity’”, which is a challenging aspect catering to various hand block printing techniques and applying lean tools to increase productivity. The application of the research study would provide a cost-effective way to procure any handcrafted product.
 
Mr. Anurodh Agnihotri is the program leader of the School of Creative Business at Pearl Academy. He is pursuing his PhD at Amity School of Fashion Design & Technology, Amity University Mumbai. During his industry experience, he has been extensively been involved at various craft clusters for four4 years with the Ministry of Textiles, Handicraft Department, and in exploring product development for different handcrafted product categories. He has worked with various brands such as Reliance Retail & TATA Trent & Hyper City buyer and category head respectively handling women’s ethnic wear business.
 
The event was attended by the students and the faculties from Amity University, Mumbai. The webinar had been registered by 181 participants, out of which 139 participants attended the session. A hundred and eighty-one participants registered for the webinar out of which a hundred and thirty-nine attended the session. The event commenced with a brief introduction about Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the speaker by the host. A wonderful and enriching session was conducted by Mr. Anurodh Agnihotri which was followed by a question and answer session by the participants and the expert. The eventful seminar came to an end with a thank you note by the host.
