Amity School of Fashion Design along with IQAC conducted this event for IIC. Managing innovation is a complex and challenging task, and takes more than technical knowledge and skill. It requires insight, tenacity, intuition, creativity and acumen, all of which are developed and honed through experience and over time. Mentoring or coaching can help to explore full potential of your ideas, and implement them effectively. Today’s business mantra is “Innovate or die.” Key takeaways for students were to explore the practicality of converting innovation to business, to receive mentoring in execution of idea and to get expert advice on improving the business plan. 22 entries were received from AUM. After a preliminary round of discussion with the students by three faculty mentors from ASFDT 10 were short listed for final round with expert. The event was very fruitful for the students as the expert suggested help in areas such as expanding the client base, technical support for sustainable standards, ways of creating awareness for developed products to name a few. Expert appreciated the ideas presented by the students.
