28th February, Raipur: Amity University Chhattisgarh commenced its 4th edition of AmiSpark on 28th February 2019. AmiSpark is the inter-institutional techno-cultural fest to enhance the talent of the students. The program embarked with the arrival of Honorable Chief Guest Padmashri Ms. Saba Anjum Karim, DSP and an international Hockey player and the guest of honour Mr. Shashi Mohan Singh, IPS officer, actor and poet. The program proceeded with the felicitation of the Honorable Chief Guest, Ms. Saba Anjum Karim by the Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Pandey and the Guest of Honor, Mr. Shashi Mohan Singh was felicitated by Dr. Prasanna Sharma, Convener of Amispark2019.
The two day annual fest was finally declared open by the Vice chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) R.K.Pandey. The students performed a spectacular dance on the stage followed by Ganesh Vandana. Welcome address is given by the convener Dr.Sharma. Mr. Shashi Mohan Singh enlightened the student mass about the value of time management. Ms. Saba Anjum Karim, spoke about her struggles in the early days of her career as a hockey player, additionally, she motivated the students to focus on their goals and to work for what they are passionate about.
The 4th edition of AmiSpark is back with more sparks to bring out the zeal of the students. Inter-institutions of the university present singing, dancing, fashion show, architecture exhibitions and Kavyavani-the Poetry Competition. Amity School of Communication is organizing AD-Mad show and Fake News Anchoring. Amity Law School is coming up with a quiz competition ‘Know Your Country’ and ‘Band Competition’. Amity School of Engineering and Technology will be presenting ‘Rhythm: The beat breakers’ that encompasses band performances, beat boxing and solo musical performances; ‘Need for Speed: Most Wanted’, ‘Smack down’, ‘FIFA’, ‘Gully Cricket’, ‘Mortal Kombat X’, ‘Counter Strike’, ‘Most Wanted’ and the most awaited ‘PUB-G’. Amity Business School will be here with Retail Mania, FUTSAL tournament, Beat busters, ADZAP and Treasure Hunt. Amity School of Fashion Technology will spread their colors in their fashion show- ‘Stylospectra’ with the themes of classic era, cultural essence, fusion world, dreamy glory, step up vacation, formal illusion, distorted divinity and a fashion exhibition. Euphony, Eat-Speak-Repeat, AIBA: 3*3 Basketball Tournament and Survival 2.0 is being organized by Amity Institute of Biotechnology. Amity School of Architecture and Planning is organizing ‘Space-Tacular’ exhibition with the theme ‘Glimpse of space for the future of mankind’. Magic-o-Mic that will have Singing, Comedy, Beat Boxing, Poetry, Rapping, Speech and Magic Show will be conducted by Amity Institute of Information and Technology.
Students, faculty members and senior officials of the university were present on this occasion. Students from other Universities have joined in this two days inter institutional competition to enrich and manifest their creativity.
