About the Journal
Amity School of Communication, AUMP, Gwalior intends to publish a bi-annual referred and peer-reviewed journal named “Journal of Content, Community & Communication”.
The Journal of Content, Community & Communication aims at delving into inquiry into and providing a forum for discussion pertaining to contemporary communication issues within wider social, economic, cultural and technological contexts. The journal promotes analyzing contemporary communication issues in new light and research. It will aim at bringing to the surface, innovative ways of research to initiate a dialogue on an array of subject matters in the field of communication theory and practice. The journal will engage in a wide range of themes in the media studies, digital media, and communication management among others.

Amity School of Communication (ASCO) is a premier institute of media education in the Madhya Pradesh region. Amity School of Communication was established alongside
Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior in 2010. The focus of ASCO is to promote high quality media education in the region of Madhya Pradesh and produce high quality media professionals – print and electronic journalists, advertising professionals, public relations professionals, photo journalists, and academicians in the field of media studies.
Amity School of Communication is equipped with up to date studio and up to the minute equipment, high-tech video and photography cameras, and editing facilities. We are also the first campus under the Amity umbrella to run one-of-its-kind online radio www.amiradio.in managed through and through by our students giving them practical exposure.
Amity School of Communication has been successfully bringing out the monthly University newsletter The Amitian. The newsletter is not only a strong mouthpiece of the University, but practical print media learning for students. Amity School of Communication has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with MICA Ahmadabad for a national level Facebook study on its usage behaviour. Amity School of Communication is coming up with a bi-annual journal titled Journal of Content, Community and Communication with renowned Editorial Board members, slated for June-December.
Amity School of Communication has successfully organised a National Seminar once and National Film Festival twice, and other events like Mock Press Conference and Click-O-Mania. These aim at bringing the academia, both- teachers and students at par with the present industry standards.
Amity School of Communication has eight distinctly qualified faculty members with student strength of 75.
The programmes offered with us are:
- Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication (Three-year programme)
- Masters in Journalism and Mass Communication (Two-year programme)
- PhD/Doctorate programme
- D.Litt programme
Taking into consideration the significance of upcoming fields in Media Studies, Amity School of Communication aims to start MBA in Media Management and Masters in Film Technology and Production, along with a few more short term courses.
Focus of the Journal:
The Journal of Content, Community & Communication shall focus on the South-Asia region, and it shall provide an open forum for researchers and academicians to come up with researches in the field of media studies, digital media content and communication studies. It will aim at providing state-of-the-art knowledge in the media studies field, and become a platform for instructive and collaborative research.
Market Potential of the Journal:
This Journal will help upcoming and budding scholars in the field of journalism and mass communication. It will also be subscribed by various educational institutions in India and abroad because of its varied and inter-disciplinary approach. The journal will aim to tap the resources from national and international seminars/conferences/associations/societies. There will also be a strong teaching and research work in the journal to coagulate library demands. It will give a platform to researchers and academicians hence will cater to a lot of them already in the field.
It will tap the potential of promising new researchers and bring to surface innovative researches in the field of media studies and communication. There is a drastic dialogue on the significance and scope of media and communication, and its academic aspects and the journal will add on to the existing discourse, thus making it richer.
