Book Club, Central Library, Amity University, Greater Noida is going to organise an 3rd Author Talk in the series on ‘Machine Learning’ by renowned authors Mr. Sujit Bhattacharyya and Dr. Subhrajit Bhattacharya to mark the National Mathematics Day i.e., 22nd December 2021 (4:00 PM- 5:00 PM)This is the most appropriate occasion to commemorate the birth anniversary of the mathematics genius Srinivasa Ramanujan (22 December 1887 – 26 April 1920), and his contributions to the field of mathematics under Azadi Ka 75th Amrit Mahotsav

In this context, an Author’s Talk by Mr. Sujit Bhattacharyya & Dr. Subhrajit Bhattacharya on their book ‘Machine Learning’ will take place. 

 

About Invited Guest 

 

Dr. Priyambada Tripathi is Ph.D. in mathematics on the study of chaos synchronization in certain non-linear dynamical systems from the University of Delhi in 2015, and M.Sc. from Banaras Hindu University. She is also a CSIR JRF holder. She is an eminent resource person on career opportunities in mathematics.  

Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor in Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi, and active in further research work on Non-linear Dynamical systems, as well as the author of a book and still writing. 

 

About Authors 

 

            Sujit Bhattacharyya is one of the founders of CL Educate (NSE: CLEDUCATE) is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Bangalore. As the Chief Innovation Officer, he currently leads all digital initiatives, including the Data Science practice, in CL. A hands-on technologist and a passionate teacher, he has led CL into the adoption of Al-ML and Voice-tech; and was invited to Amazon as part of the Alexa Developer Advisory Council. He has served in the FICCI Committee for School Education and is an invited faculty to AICTE for conducting Faculty Development Programs in the areas of Al and Machine Learning. 

  

 

            Dr. Subhrajit Bhattacharya received his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur in 1989, and a Ph.D. from Duke University in 1995 he spent ten years in research at NEC and at IBM’s TJ Watson Research Center, USA. He has published 20 research papers in top journals and was granted 12 patents.  

            He moved back to IBM India in 2006 and built IBM’s top notch EDA R&D team. Subsequently, he entered the AI field and while writing this book he was heading the consultancy arm off data sciences at career launcher. Currently, he is the director of the marketing AI team in Target’s organization.
