ASAP has a very active and vibrant student body, which is continually engaged in the creative pursuit of a holistic, well-balanced career and academic life. Their enthusiasm towards creating a rich campus culture is evident in the number and variety of activities and events they organize on campus, ranging from music concerts to hands-on workshops to print and graphic workshops to sports, games, debates and quizzes. There are several student clubs on campus that offer a multitude of opportunities to become involved in and be active in the Amity University Madhya Pradesh campus, thus contributing to the vibrant environment. 

INDUSTRY VISITS

 

Amity School of Architecture & Planning conducted an Industrial Visit at 'Supreme Industries Ltd, Malanpur' in March 2020. The visit was attended by 29 students of ASAP along with Prof. L.K.Jain (Director-ASAP), Ar. Ashish Sharma (Assoc. Prof), Ar. Sudheer Sikarwar (Asst. Prof) and the event was coordinated by Ar. Rajesh Agrawal (visiting faculty).

The students learned about different types of Plumbing Systems in a building, decisions related to the choice of plumbing system as well as design consideration before designing of any building, especially a Multi-story project.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH ACTIVITY

As per the directives of the Department of Higher Education, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, Amity University Madhya Pradesh (AUMP) celebrated a three week-long Hariyali Mahotsav with the theme ‘Ek Abhiyan Dharti Ke Shringaar Ka’.

Under this event, Amity School of Architecture and Planning, AUMP, organized a Poster Design Competition on the topic Plantation Drive: Environmental Awareness & Protection under the main theme of “Hariyali” (greenery) in August 2019. The students tried to show their concern towards environment through their posters. While participating in the competition, the students got an opportunity to reflect on the role of environment in their lives and their duty towards preservation of ecological balance. This fulfilled the objective with which the event was organized – sensitizing the students and the masses in general about conservation of nature.

OTHER STUDENT ACTIVITIES

HERITAGE SKETCHING WALK

Amity School of Architecture and Planning organized a day-long heritage sketching walk to Gwalior Fort and Archeological Museum, Gwalior for the students of B.Arch. and B.I.D (First Year), under the guidance of Ar. Sudheer Singh Sikarwar and Ar. Rajeev Parashar in November 2019. The students were given an exposure to understand about the heritage of Gwalior where they also undertook sketching of the monuments.

STUDY TOURS

Amity School of Architecture & Planning organized ’STUDY TOUR AT CHINTPURNI and SHIMLA (H.P)’ in November 2019 for five days. Students of B. Arch. and BID actively participated and learned about Architecture and Interior design practice through live case studies. The study tour was carried out in two phases. The first part of the tour was Case Study of ‘Tourist Interpretation Centre with Integrated Car Parking & Hotel Block’ at Chintpurni Temple Complex. Then students learned about restoration techniques and interiors of ‘Town Hall’ at Shimla. The Study Tour was organized by Associate Prof. Ashish Sharma along with Assoc. Prof. Ar. Monika Shekhar Gupta under the guidance of Director Prof. L.K Jain.
