At Amity School of Communication, students get the exposure necessary to excel in life. To achieve the same, ASCO Gwalior organises industry professionals’ visits to the institute on a regular basis.

We at Amity focus not only on academics, but also on the cultural and co-curricular aspects of education.

The campus has a sports complex with facilities for indoor and outdoor sports and games including basketball, tennis, volley ball, football, badminton, chess, carrom, table-tennis etc.

We aim to provide an all-inclusive atmosphere in the university that can help students feel at home and aid the learning process.

Chroma

Amity University, Madhya Pradesh, organizes its annual youth festival named ‘CHROMA’ in the month of February. CHROMA is a two-day youth fest organized to celebrate the energy, vigour and excitement of youth in all its glory. With over 50 interactive events under the belt, EDM nights, nukkad natak, online gaming, RJ hunt, selfie competition, to name a few. CHROMA is a brimming experience that helps the students bring out the best version of themselves.

Industrial visits and live projects

ASCO Gwalior ensures that students, while pursuing their courses, are exposed to the present trends of the industry. To make the students industry-ready, ASCO sends the students to different media houses, such as My FM, Dainik Bhaskar, Doordarshan, etc on a regular basis.

Industry interactions

ASCO regularly invites professionals from the industry and well-experienced people from the academic field to share their experience with the students. The professionals share their extensive experience with the students and give them valuable lessons to prepare the students to face the hurdles that might come up  in their professional journey.

ASCO also organizes workshops on a regular basis to help the students understand the nuances of the media industry. Professionals from organizations like ICANN, Facebook, Google News Initative, etc visit the campus regularly to sensitize the students on emerging issues pertaining to digital and print media. We regularly encourage the students to be a part of such initiatives.

 

Clickers

Clickers, a photography club of ASCO, provides the students with the opportunity to participate, learn and explore the field of photography. The aim of the club is to cover all the major events organized by the university. The club members get an opportunity to showcase their creativity and learn new skills apart from their core subjects.

Annual Sports Meet- SANGATHAN

Every year, various departments of Amity University, Madhya Pradesh, participate in ‘SANGATHAN’ - a month-long inter-Amity University mega event which culminates in the founder’s day celebrations, observed in honour of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President – Amity University.

Students compete in more than 15 different sports and games, including badminton, basketball, volleyball, cricket, chess, and tug of war, to clinch the much-coveted trophies. The students of various institutions present a colourful cultural programme depicting different cultures from different states of India.

 

Community Outreach Activity

AUMP has established a Tribal Development Centre with the aim of uplifting tribals and enabling them to lead a better quality of life. People from the Sahariya tribe of Madhya Pradesh have been exploited over the years by almost all, including industrialists, land owners, politicians etc. and continue to live in abject poverty. The students, as well as the faculty members, frequently visit the villages of Sahariya tribe to understand their problems and help them in solving the existing livelihood issues.
