Orientation Programme 2022

 Amity University Madhya Pradesh organised a two-day orientation programme for its new batch of students on August 29th and 30th, 2022.

After the registration of the new students, the programme of the day began with the invocation of the Gods and a Havan, in which the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, HoIs, HoDs, all the faculty members and the new students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm.
The Havan was followed by a brief introduction of the senior functionaries of the University. Next, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AUMP, Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd) delivered the welcome address. He informed the students about the quality holistic education available at Amity University Madhya Pradesh. He also gave an overview of life at Amity and familiarized them with the various facilities, amenities and world-class infrastructure at AUMP. He urged the students to follow the rules and guidelines set by the university diligently. Hon’ble VC’s address was followed by that of Prof (Dr) RS Tomar, Dean (Academics). In his address, he apprised the students about the Choice-Based Credit System. Prof Tomar, who is also the Chairman, of Anti Ragging Cell briefed the students about the Zero-Tolerance Policy of Amity against  Ragging and about the functions of the Anti-ragging Cell at AUMP. 
In the post-lunch session, the students underwent psychometric profiling and a language proficiency test. 
On day two of the orientation programme, the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) MP Kaushik delivered his address throwing light on the code of conduct and campus discipline.
In the afternoon, the students were apprised of the campus life and cultural clubs and sports activities by Dy Pro VC and Dean Student Welfare, Prof (Dr) Anil Vashisht. Dr Vashisht also spoke of the International programmes and exposure provided by AUMP.  
The final address was that of Controller of Examination Brig (Dr) J Matta, who oriented the students regarding the examination procedures, marking patterns and the grading system.
The Orientation Programme ended with fun activities and student performances in the Talen Hunt 
On both days the students registered themselves with their respective programmes on AMIZONE and interacted with their respective HoIs and HoDs and other faculty members.
