Prof. G. K. Aseri is currently Pro Vice Chancellor, Dean – Academics and Director of Amity Institute of Microbial Technology. He is the Director of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) to institutionalize academic & administrative quality at Amity University Rajasthan. He is also contributing to other Amity Campuses in various capacities.
Prior to this, Prof. Aseri has served at various strategic positions as Provost, Dy. Pro Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Head-AIB, Director – Corporate Resource Center, and Chairman – NAAC Steering Committee at Amity University Rajasthan. He has also served as Director – Institute of Biomedical Education and Research at Mangalayatan University – Aligarh (UP) and Asst. Professor at Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology (Affiliated Jai Narain Vyas University - JNVU Jodhpur, RAJ.). Prof. Aseri has over 23 years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration in higher education.
He has been awarded with doctoral degree from ICAR - Central Arid Zone Research Institute (Registered from JNVU) in 2002. He had been recipient of JRF and SRF fellowship from CSIR – UGC and ICAR – CAZRI. His research interest includes microbial intervention in soil health as bio-fertilizers, waste-land rehabilitation, and green food preservatives.
Prof. Aseri has completed research projects funded by DST, Ministry of Agriculture and Ministry of food processing industries (MoFPI - GoI). Dr Aseri has guided many scholars; he has also filed patents and has published more than 70 research papers in National & International Research Journals. Prof. Aseri has been instrumental in organizing international & national conferences in his subject arena and has delivered several expert talks in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, Egypt, Singapore & Nepal. He has also designed and developed PG & UG programs in the area of Microbiology & Biotechnology. He has given consultancy to various Food & Beverage Industries (Bisleri, Kingfisher & Sri Ram Gums etc.) for their product development and Quality Control. Prof. Aseri has established Bio-Processing Laboratory under the grant of DST – FIST - Govt. of India and is the Co – Coordinator to establish Hi- end laboratories under PURSE scheme of DST – Govt. of India worth rupees 8.5 crore.
Prof. Aseri has served as NAAC assessor. Prof. Aseri strongly supports industry integration in HEI’s to prepare research and industry ready students.
