Amity Institute of Microbial Microbiology offers semester wise Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programmes. The curriculum is designed to train the students in basic and advanced areas of Microbiology and keep them updated about the latest advances in this field. Our innovative pedagogy and experiential learning techniques lay emphasis on the practical aspects to gain knowledge and skills.

Students are taught how to plan experiments, perform them carefully, analyze the data accurately, and present the results both, qualitatively and quantitatively. AIMT organises a wide range of seminars, workshops, conferences, guest lectures, interaction with industry stalwarts and experts to equip students with required verbal and presentation skills in Microbiology. Students read and research about different themes that develop critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills besides accumulation of knowledge.

The research projects undertaken by students are closely guided by experienced faculty and experts. They guide students at every step on research problem, executing experiments, data collection and theory analysis. Students also learn to present the results in the form of an oral presentation as well as a consolidated thesis. Students of AIMT study specific areas of Microbial Technology studies such as -

Microbial Diversity, Microbial Physiology, Virology, Immunology, Enzymology, Environmental Microbiology, Microbial Pathogenicity, Molecular biology, Microbial Genetics, Recombinant DNA technology, Industrial Microbiology and Food Microbiology, and Bioinformatics

Amity Institute of Biotechnology was started in 2007 with a view to nurture aspiring biotechnologists. Biotechnology is a scientific revolution which gives multiple opportunities to meet the challenges around the globe in all sectors of life sustaining activities such as food, healthcare, environment etc.

Amity School of Applied Sciences offers Postgraduate programmes. The course curriculum is constructed at par to the other universities. The institute integrates knowledge, research, industry experience and industry exposure in academic programmes. The course curriculum prepares students to be industry-ready, appear in CSIR NET examinations or opt higher studies. The state-of-the-art labs and practical training facilities provide students impeccable learning through hands-on activities. Besides core subjects, the students can learn any foreign language out of five languages to enhance their skills.
