Established in 2005, the Amity School of Hospitality (ASH), a constituent institute of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus, offers a four year full-time Bachelor's Degree program in Hotel Management [BHM] which equips students with the requisite skills, knowledge, and attitude to efficiently discharge supervisory and operational responsibilities in various sectors of the hospitality industry.
The institute has state-of-the-art infrastructure and highly equipped labs to provide hands-on training to students. The programme involves in-depth laboratory work, industrial visits, guest lectures, workshops, and vocational training scheduled at regular intervals for students to acquire required knowledge, skills, and standards in the operational areas of Food Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office Operations and Housekeeping.
The software used in the hospitality industry, called Property Management System–IDS Next, has been installed on the campus to provide practical training to students about the functioning of major departments in hotels.
The programme also includes imparting training to students to enhance personality traits, business communication skills, behavioural sciences, and an option to learn one foreign language out of Spanish, French, and German. The Institute’s library is well stocked with several national and international hospitality journals and magazines to keep students updated as well as familiarized with recent developments in the hospitality industry and research activities being conducted in this arena.
