Food Science Technology & Processing has a variety of applied science fields such as Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, Biochemistry and other physical sciences those are relevant to the study of food.

Food Science Technology & Processing students study not only the science and technology related to food but also methods of preservation and storage of different food types while ensuring food safety and quality.

Amity Food Science Technology & Processing programs have been designed to provide students with practical training combining comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge within the fields of Food Technology, Food Chemistry and Analysis, Food Quality, Food Manufacturing, Processing, Preservation and Packaging among others. These programs will enable students to design alternative food manufacturing methods and make existing food-manufacturing methods compliant to consumer safety and industry standards.

Students find employment with food retailers, local, regional and international food manufacturers and food laboratories from various agencies of the Government and consultancy advisory roles.

Some of the typical career paths opening after successful completion of Amity Food Science Technology & Processing programs include Food Research and Development Scientist, Quality Assurance Advisor, Food Plant Manager, Food Molecular Biologist, and Flavor Chemist among others.
