The AIIS Intra MUN 2025, organized by the Amity Institute of International Studies (AIIS), was an internal academic simulation designed to immerse students in the workings of international diplomacy and policy-making similar to UN.
This edition featured three principal committees: UNGA, UNHRC, and UNSC.
In the UNGA, delegates engaged in comprehensive debates on Illicit activities for conflicts in Middle East and Africa, striving to draft resolutions that reflected collective international consensus. The UNHRC sessions focused on combating discrimination against marginalised communities in Global South, where participants analyzed violations and proposed frameworks to uphold fundamental freedoms. The UNSC simulations addressed maritime security and migration control in Asia and Africa, requiring delegates to navigate complex geopolitical dynamics and negotiate peacekeeping strategies.
Throughout the event, students honed their skills in research, public speaking, negotiation, and resolution drafting.
AIIS Intra MUN 2024 expanded on its previous iteration by offering a multi-committee format, including simulations of prominent UN bodies such as the General Assembly, Security Council, ECOSOC and Human rights councils.
The event focused on contemporary global challenges, ranging from "Breeding Grounds of Instability: Dismantling the State-Terror Nexus, Impact of Anthropogenic and Natural disasters, Bridging the Digital Divide and advancing digital literacy, lastly, Exploring the Palestinian Question”. The Participants engaged in moderated caucuses, unmoderated negotiations, and formal drafting of resolutions.
This event provided a structured opportunity to experience diplomatic engagement while deepening understanding of international relations. It functioned not only as a platform for debate but also as an exercise in policy formulation and strategic communication within a multilateral framework.

The UNGA, UNSC, UNFCCC and UNHRC, where participants deliberated on critical global issues. The issues ranged from Mitigating Transnational Cyber Terrorism, Addressing the Conflict in Ukraine with emphasis on Russian Aggression, Sea-bound Migration to Europe from Middle East and Africa, lastly on, Environmental impact of Global Waste Management.
The MUN fostered formal debate, resolution drafting, and diplomatic negotiation within a controlled academic setting. Emphasis was placed on policy articulation, collaborative problem-solving, and procedural conduct in international forums.
Designed as an internal event, it served as a preparatory exercise for students to build confidence, engage in critical thinking, and refine public speaking skills in a professional setting.
The Intra-Model United Nations (Intra-MUN) 2022, organized by the Amity Institute of International Studies, offered students an immersive platform to engage in UN-style diplomacy through four dynamic committees. The students as delegates represented countries and debated global issues, enhancing their understanding of international relations and policymaking.
The four committees had simulated discussions ranging from The Situation in Afghanistan, Reviewing the Indian Economic Policies and Crypto Bills, Security and Humanitarian threats of Ukranian Crisis and lastly, Minorities in the Xinjiang Region.
The event focused on building key skills in research, public speaking, negotiation, and consensus-building. Intra-MUN 2022 fostered leadership, teamwork, and critical thinking, making it a valuable experiential learning opportunity for aspiring international affairs professionals.
