Amity University Mumbai Organizes Webinar On Guided Wave-Based Damage Detection in Structural Components

 Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity Institute of Technology organized webinar to aware students, research scholars and faculty on use of Guided Wave-Based technology for damage detection. The Dr. Amol Kamble, Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering briefed about the schedule of the program and inspired students by introducing guests and their domain knowledge in Guided Wave-Based Technology.

 
The tradition of ASET to upgrade the skillset of their faculty had recontinued with this webinar. The all 70 registered participants from various universities got the benefit out of this webinar using the virtual platform MS-Teams. Dr. Nitesh Yelve is very popular faculty from Indian Institute of Technology Bombay in the domain field mentioned above. He explained benefits of Guided Wave-Based Technology for Damage Detection.
 
Dr. Nitesh explained the classifications of guided waves, statergies and their application for damage detection. He also talked about the real time tracking or conditional monitoring of the machines. This is very helpful in structural health monitoring. The participants were so enthusiastic to learn new techniques that are in use with Industries. There was fruitful conversation during Q&A at the end of session. Dr. Amol Kamble delivered votes of thanks and concluded the webinar with summary of the program.
