A student’s team from B.Tech. (Computer Science & Engineering) 2016-20 Batch from Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University, Chhattisgarh was selected among all the Technical Institutions/ University including IIT/ IIIT/NITs of Central India Region and participated in Final round of Smart India Hackathon -2019 (SIH) Finale on 02-03 March 2019 held at Sagar Institute of Technology, Bhopal.

Smart India Hackathon 2019 was conducted all over India by MHRD in association with AICTE and top MNCs. Only four Institutions from Chhattisgarh were shortlisted to participate in SIH-2019 Finale i.e. IIT Bhilai, NIT Raipur, GEC Raipur & Amity University Chhattisgarh. Within Amity Group, only Amity University Chhattisgarh and Amity University UP qualified for the grand finale.

At this National Level Event, the team from Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur participated in Smart India Hackathon 2019 at Nodal Center “Sagar Institute of Research and Technology, Bhopal.

The whole 36 hours event consisted of 3 Rounds. Round one consists of an overall explanation of the project, Amity University Chhattisgarh team "HAPKMS" explained the basic prototype of the architecture. After the 1st round, there was a live session with the Hon'ble Prime Minister Shree Narendra Modi. He interacted with the teams also. In the 2nd Round, the team "HAPKMS" showcased the working prototype of the project which performed well. In the 3rd and final round, the Team the presented and showed the whole architecture along with GUI. The Mahindra & Mahindra along with SIH team then evaluated the architecture, and found the functioning exceptional.  The judges evaluated the overall project and zeroed the winning teams. The problem statement our Team was of Complex category. 

Final Result

Team ASET, AUC has secured “First Position” in SIH2019 held at Bhopal Nodal Center along with “Prize Money of Rs. 01 Lac” with the futuristic incubation support to develop product.

Future Plan:

Post SIH 2019, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India pursued all the winning teams to continue work so that the proposed solutions can be taken to a logical conclusion. In this regard, MHRD seeks to know the plans of all the winning teams about the next course of action in making the proposed project to a workable & implementable solution by the respective organizations who posed the problem statements in SIH 2019. 

The winning team from ASET, Amity University Chhattisgarh, Raipur submitted a proposal to join an MHRD funded Incubator for the development of the product with the financial support of around Rs. 11,00,000/- (proposed) to MHRD. If approved, it will lead to product development support at an MHRD funded incubation centre. Further, the winning team may get an opportunity to take part in World’s Largest International Smart India Hackathon, last year it was held in Singapore.
