During my internship in Amity School of Communication, AUUP, I was given a great opportunity to work on a project with WCCB, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change to showcase the activities done and steps taken by WCCB for the protection of wildlife in India through 20 short films.
While making those films I learned and worked on many filmmaking and editing techniques. We also went to Kolkata with our team and faculties to shoot in WCCB office, where we not only worked on film shooting but also learned a lot about the illegal trade of many species of mammals, sea animals, birds, insects and reptiles. The experience gained through actual field work, definitely strengthened the individual knowledge base, required to work efficiently, in this industry. This project helped us sharpen our film-making, editing, and anchoring skills, among many others, making us ready for professional work. This training and practice made us confident enough to face industrial challenges in the near future.

Consultancy and live media projects are one of the hallmarks of training at Amity School of communication. As the testimonials of our Alumni state, it is this exposure to Audio Video Productions, Film Production and Radio Broadcasting that nurtures and hones their skills to make them industry ready. Consultancy projects create an opportunity for the stakeholders like students, professors and studio-technicians to enrich their experience & knowledge through interacting in the professional sphere. The extended stakeholders of the institution also get an opportunity to learn through experience sharing of the active members.
Amity School of Communication, under the umbrella of Amity University Uttar Pradesh offers a perfect mix of classroom study and hand on experience to their students through several consultancy, sponsored and research projects to meet the growing expectation of media industry. The institution shall actively seek collaboration with the major industry partners. The major existing partners of the institution are Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, UNICEF, CRA etc. Consultancy/Sponsored Research projects provide enrichment of the experience and knowledge of the students. It also provides an opportunity to students to see the sphere of their chosen profession. The academic members of the institution also get a chance of experimenting under actual service conditions and provide financial return (small or large) to the institution. 2	2019	International Association of Women in Radio and Television ( IWART) hosts the Asian Womens Film Festival every year. In 2019, Dr Gauri Chakraborty was chosen the Festival Director for this event. 4	2017 & 2018	IndiWood Film Festival has been one of the largest conglomerations of film fraternity in India. The students volunteered for this event at Ramoji Film City along woth mentor Dr Gauri D Chakraborty. 7	2017, 2019	Centre for Media Studies, CMS hosts the world's seocnd largest Environment Film Festival. ASCO has hosted the nomination jury twice for this prestigious festival in the past. 9	2015-2016	The Indian Partition Museum project spearheaded by Lady Kishwar Desai is a one of its kind project that rediscovers the partition from the Survivors POV and memorabilia.
