13th Raising Day

 Amity University Madhya Pradesh Celebrated its 13th Raising Day on 19th September 2023

Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior celebrated its thirteenth Raising Day with great joy and verve in hybrid mode on 19 September 2023 at a majestic ceremony which was graced by the benign presence of Dr Aseem Chauhan, Additional President Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, Hon’ble Chancellor & Chairman Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Senior Functionaries from Ritnand Balved Education Foundation and a host of other dignitaries including Hon’ble Vice Chancellors of various Amity Universities across the globe.
Lt Gen V. K. Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Pro Chancellor and Sr. Vice President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, AUMP, Prof (Dr) Anil Vashisht, Officiating Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) M. P. Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor (Research), Registrar, Deans, HoIs, HoDs, faculty, staff and students were the proud and enthusiastic hosts of the programme.
The auspicious occasion of Raising day began with invoking of Goddess Saraswati followed by the address of the Hon’ble Pro Chancellor, Lt Gen VK Sharma, AVSM (Retd), Pro-Chancellor and Sr Vice President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation.
In his address, the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor shared the story of genesis of Amity University Madhya Pradesh. He traced the growth of the University which had started with just one block and 149 students to its present strength of over 4000 students with four academic blocks, three hostel blocks, and other academic blocks under construction. He opined that soft skills are the backbone of a student’s personality. He also highlighted the success stories of students, their placements and start-ups, the impressive funding received and the dedication and hard work of the faculty and students.
To recognize the accomplishments of the meritorious students of Amity University Madhya Pradesh, certificates of academic excellence were given to the toppers of the academic year 2022-2023.
The Anniversary issue of the University Newsletter, The Amitian, was also released by the dignitaries on this occasion.
The students from various departments across the University presented cultural programme showcasing the cultural heritage of Gwalior. This scintillating musical extravaganza by the students of Amity University Madhya Pradesh won every one’s heart.
The mesmerizing cultural programme was followed by the address of Dr Aseem Chauhan, Additional President Ritnand Balved Education Foundation, Hon’ble Chancellor & Chairman Amity University Madhya Pradesh. Referring to the Cultural Programme, Hon’ble Chancellor and Chairman congratulated the students for their sterling performances and expressed his confidence in the bright future of each Amitian, particularly as each Amitian has the blessings of the Founder President.
Dr Chauhan also introduced the gathering to the several Vice Chancellors and pillars of Amity Group, who work towards fulfilling Amity’s Vision and Mission. Motivating the Amitians, Dr Chauhan called upon the students to think and avail the grand opportunities provided by the dramatic changes in technology, entrepreneurship and innovation to create a better world. He also invited Hon’ble Vice Chancellors from various Amity Universities across the globe to share their views about Amity University Madhya Pradesh. Dr Chauhan also expressed his faith in the able leadership of Lt General V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd), Pro-Chancellor and Sr Vice President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation.
The programme ended with the vote of thanks proposed by Prof (Dr) Anil Vashisht, Officiating Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor.
The Academic Block D and Hostel Plaza was also inaugurated in the premises of AUMP on this auspicious occasion.
The programme was also telecast on Zoom platform. It was streamed live from the Auditorium Block ‘B’ to Seminar Hall, Block A, Moot Court in Block B and seminar hall in Block C so that maximum students of AUMP could be a part of the 13th Raising Day proceedings.
It was a day to remember, cherish and recognize the glorious past and take a pledge to bring laurels to the university as Amity University Gwalior celebrated its 13th Raising day with extreme pride, zeal and enthusiasm
