Summary of the Session:
Amity Institute of Behavioural and Allied Sciences, Amity University, Madhya Pradesh organized a special session on Angel Investment for the students of the department to boost their young minds and motivate them to become future entrepreneurs that would enhance their growth and motivate them to invest in the development of our esteemed country. The event was graced by Prof (Dr) Novrattan Sharma, Director, AIBAS who imparted words of wisdom regarding the need and positive perspective of the lecture organised; encouraging the students to be job providers by increasing their repertoire through creativity as well as opportunities available that would aid them in providing employment to several citizens. The valuable words imparted by Prof (Dr) Novrattan Sharma, Director was followed by informative facts about Angel Investment by Dr. Sandhya Garg, Assistant Professor, AIBAS which created excitement for further knowledge by sharing practical analogies with Shark Tank, accelerating the student’s enthusiasm to know how they could generate and take their ideas of entrepreneurship forward.

Succeeding the upliftment of morale towards becoming budding entrepreneurs, the special lecture was the ennobled by Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Head of the Department & Associate Professor, AIBAS who with his immense knowledge as well as years of experience imparted information about the process of Angel Investment in the most comprehendible manner. Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma shared the essentials of venture capital through Angel Investment, Eco System and Equity. It was explained how Angel Investment involves more than generating revenue, although it includes capital, it also seeks guidance and mentorship from the investors who are themselves successful entrepreneurs. The lecture also included the ideas the students can take up as future psychologists to tread intro the arena of entrepreneurship. Various leading start-ups related to the field of mental health was discussed such as WYSA, Innerhour, Junoclinic, Your Dost etc. This broadened the view of students to various aspects that could be addressed through Artificial Intelligence in the segment of mental health, psychometric assessment, neuropsychology, psychotherapy and awareness generation through workshops as well as seminars. The lecture provided a holistic as well as intricate methods to seek angel investment so as to enhance ones zeal towards developing innovative approaches that are both swift as well as cost effective in the field of psychology using a blend of interacting along with audio visual technology. The students were inspired by sharing a glimpse of the life of Sir Ratan Tata who actively encouraged innovative ventures and gave back to the country multi-fold by investing in young visionaries. The lecture was concluded by as question and answer session which was addressed by the honourable speaker Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma who also holds a patent on Artificial Intelligence for Autism and Innovation. Students of AIBAS actively participated in the programme, Ms Nandini Tomar (student) facilitated the speaker with kind words describing the great contributions by Dr. Rajendra Kumar Sharma in the academia, clinical practice and patent filing. The session vibrantly ended with Ms. Samridhi Verma (student) eloquently giving the vote of thanks along with distribution of sweets.
