Workshop on Basic Photography

Photography Workshop held at Amity University Raipur, Kharora. 4th April. Amity School of Communication in collaboration with Nikon India Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai organized a workshop on basic photography. The one-day workshop was an ultimate guide to learn about the basic settings of the camera. The workshop gave the participants a golden opportunity to gain a fair understanding of digital photography, camera operations, handling techniques and composition skills.

In the inaugural session of the workshop, the welcome address was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) S.C. Nayak, Head of Institution Amity School of Communication. Prof. Nayak welcomed and payed his gratitude to the chief guest of the inaugural session, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Amity University Chhattisgarh, Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Pandey for his support and guidance in organizing this workshop. He further thanked all the Nikon team members for organizing such a wonderful workshop.

In his address as the key-note speaker,Prof. (Dr.) R.K. Pandey, Vice-Chancellor Amity University Chhattisgarh reminisced the first time he bought a camera and talked about his own passion for photography. He congratulated the media school for organizing the workshop and encouraged the student participants to make most of such a wonderful opportunity given to them. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. (Dr.) Roshan Matthew.

There were two technical sessions held during the workshop where trainers Mr. Naveen Krishnan, Mr. Parivesh Sharma and Mr. Mohit Sahu taught the finer nuances of photography to the participants. The workshop saw over 300 participants from various schools of the university.
