International Yoga Day 2026: Yoga for Healthy Ageing
Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology (AICP), Amity University Patna, organized International Yoga Day Celebration 2026 in the Seminar Hall of the university as part of its ongoing commitment to promoting health, wellness, and holistic development. The programme was designed to highlight the significance of yoga in enhancing physical fitness, mental well-being, emotional balance, and overall quality of life. Faculty members from various departments of Amity University Patna actively participated in the event, reflecting the institution’s collective commitment to fostering a healthy and mindful academic environment.
The programme was conducted under the esteemed presence of Prof. (Dr.) Vivekanand Pandey, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Amity University Patna, and was distinguished university officials, including Dr. Kishore Bhattacharjee, Officiating Registrar, Dr. Sushil Kumar, Controller of Examinations, Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Santosh, Head of Department, Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology, faculty members of AICP, and faculty representatives from various departments of the university. Their presence added significance to the event and encouraged enthusiastic participation among attendees.
The programme was moderated by Dr. Kamini Dubey and Dr. Ashutosh Kumar Santosh, who emphasized the importance of integrating wellness practices into everyday life. The keynote yoga session was conducted by Dr. Yogesh, a Certified Yoga Practitioner and Wellness Expert, who guided participants through a series of yoga postures, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises. The session provided practical insights into how yoga can contribute to stress management, improved concentration, emotional resilience, and overall well-being.
The inspiration behind organizing the event stemmed from the growing need to address stress, anxiety, and lifestyle-related health concerns in contemporary society.
