International Youth Day and Badge Ceremony (AIIT)
On 12th August 2026 Amity Institute of Information Technology (AIIT), Amity University Patna, celebrated International Youth Day with enthusiasm, creativity and active participation from students and faculty members.
The celebration featured a Youth Day Video Challenge conducted across five tracks, providing students with a platform to showcase their creativity, presentation abilities and digital skills. Selected video entries were screened during the programme.
The event commenced with the Welcome and Inaugural Ceremony, followed by traditional Lamp Lighting. Dr. Rashmi Shekhar, Professor & Deputy Director, AIIT, delivered an inspiring address, encouraging students to embrace creativity, leadership, innovation and responsible participation in society.
A significant highlight of the celebration was the Badge Ceremony, conducted by Dr. Vinay Shankar, Assistant Professor, AIIT. Badges were presented to student members of AMITECHNOCRATS TECHPRENEURS and the Social Media Team, recognizing their commitment and encouraging them to further develop leadership, teamwork, communication and event-management skills.
The Prize Distribution Ceremony felicitated the winners and deserving participants of the Youth Day Video Challenge, motivating students to engage actively in creative and co-curricular activities.
Adding a meaningful social and educational dimension to the celebration, AIIT students creatively decorated the notice board around the theme “Moral Science Education for GEN Z.” The initiative highlighted the significance of values, ethics, empathy and responsibility, while also emphasising the need for mindful and responsible use of technology among today’s digitally connected youth.
