AI, Digital Health and Human-Centric Care Take Centrestage during SAKCON-2026, at Amity University
Amity Institute of Public Health and Hospital Administration (AIPH&HA), Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Noida campus in collaboration with the Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organisations (CAHO), hosted the 5th National Student Annual Knowledge Sharing Conference, SAKCON-2026, on the theme “Human-Centered Quality Care with Digital Health and AI for Viksit Bharat”, from September 11–12, 2026. The two-day conference brought together over 320 delegates from more than 30 institutions across the country, besides 700+ participants across eight pre-conference programmes, highlighting growing national interest in digital health, AI and quality-driven healthcare.
The conference opened with four pre-conference workshops at partner hospitals across Delhi-NCR—Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, Delhi; Yashoda Hospital, Ghaziabad; Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad; and Yatharth Super Speciality Hospitals, Delhi—combining expert sessions with guided hospital visits for students.
Delivering the Keynote Address, Prof. (Dr.) Vikram Datta, Director-Professor and Medical Superintendent, Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital, Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi, stated, “The future of healthcare lies in integrating technology, digital health and artificial intelligence with compassionate, human-centered care. While AI can significantly enhance clinical decision-making, efficiency and patient safety, it must complement—not replace—the human connect at the heart of healthcare. Equipping our students and future healthcare professionals with the right knowledge, skills and ethical perspective will be critical to building a resilient and patient-centric healthcare system for Viksit Bharat.”
Delivering the Presidential Address, Dr. Vijay Agarwal, President Emeritus, CAHO, averred, “Quality in healthcare is not a destination but a continuous journey that requires strong systems, committed leadership and a culture of patient safety. As technology and AI reshape healthcare delivery, we must ensure that innovation is accompanied by accountability, compassion and a relentless focus on quality. SAKCON-2026 provides a valuable platform for students and healthcare professionals to understand these evolving dimensions and contribute meaningfully to the transformation of Indian healthcare.”

The welcome address during the Inaugural Session was delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Bhoomadevi A., Professor & Assistant Director, AIPH&HA. Souvenir 5.0 was also released on this occasion.

During the two-day Conference, thematic sessions on “Redesigning Care: Technology-Driven Process Innovation for Patient Safety”, “Responsible AI and Digital Health” and, “Healthcare Technology in India: Policy Frameworks & Capacity Building for a Resilient Health System”, were also held, featuring experts such as Dr. Adil Khan, Physician – Founder, Tulu Health, Dr. Naresh Gupta, Director-Professor of Medicine, Maulana Azad Medical College/AIIMS, Delhi, Dr. Suneela Garg, Professor Emeritus, M. M. Medical College & Hospital, Solan, Mr. Sooriyaoli A. R. Reallist-CQMS, Dr. K. Madan Gopal, Senior Health Sector Expert and former Senior Consultant-Health, NITI Aayog, amongst others.
