Experience

Dr. Poonam Gaur got her doctoral degree from School of Journalism & New Media Studies, IGNOU, New Delhi. She worked on the integration of technology in media education, a highly relevant area of research in the present educational scenario. She completed her masters and graduation in the discipline of Journalism and Mass Communication from Guru Jambeshwar University of Science & Technology and University of Delhi respectively. She also pursued PG Diploma in Broadcast Journalism and a certificate course in Community Radio. Before joining Amity University (Noida Campus), she worked with Central University of Rajasthan, Amity University (Greater Noida Campus), Noida International University and Singhania University. She has more than nine years’ experience in media teaching, research and industry.
Her areas of interest in teaching and research are Television Journalism, Photography, Educational Media and Communication Research. She has presented research papers in national and international conferences/seminars, and also have publications in national and international journals. Dr. Gaur believes in the blended mode of teaching with proper and thoughtful integration of technology in educational transactions.
