He holds Ph. D. in Oceanography; M. Tech. in Atmospheric Science and M. Sc. Oceanography from Cochin University of Science & Technology, Kerala. He has 17 years of research and teaching experience. His area of interests are in Climate change, Extreme weather events, Ocean-atmosphere interactions, Monsoon variability, Land-surface processes, ocean/climate modeling. He is actively involved in research projects. He has more than 15 publications in various national, international journals and in edited books.
