Dr. Sudipta Roy Choudhwry is an Assistant Professor at Amity Law School, Amity University, Noida. She holds a PhD in International Law from the Centre for International Legal Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Her doctoral thesis is titled “International Legal Framework for the Protection of Human Rights of Women Arising from the Adverse Effects of Climate Change: A Critical Appraisal.”
Her research focuses on public international law, international environmental law, human rights, and gender justice, with particular attention to Global South perspectives. She has presented her work at 23 national and international forums, including Tilburg University in the Netherlands, the Asia Justice Coalition in Indonesia, the IUCN Academy of Environmental Law Colloquium, and ICEJ in Sri Lanka.
She has published in peer-reviewed journals and edited volumes. Much of her work is currently undergoing review in SCOPUS-indexed journals. She has also received the highly competitive A-type Scholarship at the Xiamen Academy of International Law in Xiamen, China, in 2023 and a full scholarship to attend the TALS Academy in Advanced Legal Research in 2025.
