    Ms. Sonakshi Varshney is an Assistant Professor of Law specializing in Criminal Law and Family Law, with a focus on criminal justice and socio-legal research. She is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in Criminal Law at Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law, Punjab, with her doctoral work centred on an empirical assessment of Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988.

    She holds an LL.M. in Criminology from Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow, and a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) in Criminal Laws from KIIT School of Law, Bhubaneswar, and is UGC-NET qualified. In addition to teaching and research, she is actively engaged in clinical legal education through family dispute resolution, contributing to mediation and counselling in matrimonial and familial conflicts with an emphasis on consensual and restorative outcomes.

    Her research interests lie at the intersection of criminal justice, corruption laws, technology, and socio-legal studies, and she has published in peer-reviewed and indexed journals, presented at national and international conferences, and regularly contributes to academic discourse as a resource person, session chair, and moot court adjudicator.
