  • Qualifications
    Dr. Amresh Kumar Dwivedi is a Ph.D. in Hindi Literature from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. He has done his M.A and M. Phil also from the JNU. Dr. Amresh has done his graduation in History (Hons) from Delhi University. He has done Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism and Mass Communication (PGDJMC) from Symbiosis University with Distinction.
  • Experience
    Dr. Amresh has 22 years of experience in the Indian Media Industry.

    - AIR - Dr. Amresh began his career as a broadcaster in All India Radio. Presented International News bulletins and a business talk show called Market mantra (AIR FM GOLD).
    - Navbharat Times – Dr. Amresh worked as a Business Reporter in the newspaper and covered many business events and did stories on Indian economy.
    - India TV – Dr. Amresh began his journey as a business reporter and gradually moved on to the Output desk. He launched three-hour long news bulletin ‘Breaking News’ presented by Rajat Sharma. He also produced ‘Azhar ki Nazar’ and ‘India live’ which were presented by Sudhir Chaudhary.
    - STAR NEWS - As a Senior journalist Dr. Amresh was part of the transition team which was working to move the channel operation from Mumbai to Delhi. In his three-and-a-half-year journey with STAR News Dr. Amresh worked with day band team called as ‘Khabar Dinbhar’.
    - BBC – Dr. Amresh joined the BBC World Service in the year 2010 and worked there for 14 years. Started as a Radio broadcaster, he presented very famous radio programmes titled ‘Dinbhar’, ‘Namaskar Bharat’, ‘BBC India Bol’ etc. Later he moved to the TV team and worked in Delhi and London to produce ‘Global India’ and ‘BBC Dunia’. These were two very popular TV programmes which covered primarily global news with India perspective. In the BBC Dr. Amresh also worked with Online news desk as a shift lead and played a key role in BBC Hindi’s digital transformation. In the last four years of his career in the BBC Dr. Amresh worked with the TV team again and ended up as India Editor of Indian languages.
    - Teaching – Dr. Amresh was a guest faculty in the Media Department of Ramlal Anand College for more than two years.

    Dr. Amresh was part of the BBC Academy team and has trained new joiners and working journalists in Delhi and Dhaka, Bangladesh.
  • Other Achievements
    Dr. Amresh is a fiction writer and translator. He has written a best seller novel in Hindi titled ‘RANG PUTUSIYA’ which was published in November 2023. He has received Sahitya Aajtak Jagriti Udiyaman Lekhak samman (emerging writer award) on his novel from the honourable President of India Draupadi Murmu Ji.
    - Dr. Amresh has also translated a biography of Dr. Ambedkar written by famous author and politician Dr. Shashi Tharoor titled ‘Ambedkar Ek Jeevan’.
    - Dr. Amresh is a fiction writer and translator. He has written a best seller novel in Hindi titled ‘RANG PUTUSIYA’ which was published in November 2023.
    - He has received Aaj Tak Sahitya Jagriti Udiyaman Lekhak Samman (emerging writer award) on his novel from the honourable President of India Draupadi
    Murmu Ji.
    - Second novel of Dr. Amresh titled ‘SUN YAAR MALANGA – Part 1’ has been published in January 2026.
    - Second part of the novel ‘SUN YAAR MALANGA’ and one book of translation is in the process of publication.
