Research Interests
Agricultural Extension and Knowledge Management: This is a major area, encompassing his extensive experience (31 years), teaching, and projects like "Agropedia Phase-II," "Agro Advisory Service through Mobile," and books like Dimensions of Agricultural Extension and Future Agricultural Extension.
Soil and Water Conservation & Watershed Management: This is a core focus, including his Ph.D. thesis on "Dynamics of People’s Participation in Doon Valley Watershed Project," his role at ICAR-IISWC, and the development of the PAWS service (Personalized Advisory on Water and Soil).
Participatory Development and Livelihood Security: Demonstrated through his thesis on people's participation and projects such as the Farmer FIRST Project (Farmer Participatory Technology Application for Sustainable Resource Management and Livelihood Security).
ICT-based Agro-Advisory Services: Development and implementation of digital tools for farmers, including the PAWS service and the Agro Advisory Service through Mobile (voice package of practices).
Human Resource Development (HRD) in Soil & Water Conservation and Participatory Planning.
