Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized the Freshers’ Party ‘MELANGE 2022’ on 15th October 2022 for the students of first year from across all the departments of different streams. The event was hosted in the physical mode in the grounds, Block-A, AUMP, by the students of second year of different streams under the guidance of the faculty Coordinators of different Schools of AUMP.
The event was graced by the benign presence of esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Rajesh Dandotiya, Addl S P, Crime Branch, Gwalior, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor - Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma, AVSM, (Retd) the Pro Vice Chancellor–Prof. (Dr.) M. P. Kaushik, Deputy Pro Vice Chancellor – Prof (Dr) Anil Vashisht, Registrar - Mr Rajesh Jain,, all the Deans, Directors, HOIs, HODs, faculty members and the members of the Amity Family. The event was attended by more than 2300 students. The Sponsoring Partners of the event were Multiplex Partner: INOX, Hospitality Partner: Moziac Hotel, and Adventure Partner: Masti Zone, DD Mall.
The event commenced with the musical performance by the Amiband (Musical Band of Amity Students) and traditional welcome of the students of first years with Tilak. The main performances conducted on stage were Fashion Show Competition, Dancing Competition and Singing Competition.
The Fashion Show Competition was conducted in three phases with more than Forty-Six (46) enthusiastic students as participants in the event. The Distinguished Judges invited for judging the competition were Dr. Rajat Pathak, HoI CRC and Mrs Sonali Narula The parameters for judgment were – Confidence, Grooming, Body language and walk, and Verbal communication (Introduction). The students declared winners for the Fashion Show Competition are as follows:
- Mr. Fresher: Anshman Singh
- Ms. Fresher: Gauri Pandit
- Mr. Amity: Adil Raza Khan
- Ms. Amity: Riya Keswani
- Runner Up Mr. Personality: Mr. Prabhjot Singh Rekhi
- Runners Up Ms. Personality: Anshi Yadav
Three Solo and three Group Dances were included in the Dancing Competition with Twenty-Three (23) energetic students as participants in the event. The Distinguished Judges invited for judging the competition were Ms. Sweta Singh, Assistant Professor, ASFDT, and Ms. Shubhagata Awasthi, Assistant Professor, AIBAS, at AUMP. The parameters for judgment were – Expressions, Costume, and Synchronization. The students declared winners for the Dancing Competition are as follows:

Five Solo Songs were included in the Singing Competition. The Distinguished Judges invited for judging the competition were Dr. Mohan Kantharia, Associate Professor, ASET, and Col. S. K. Sethi (Retd.), Director Administration, at AUMP. The parameters for judgment were – Sur (Tone), Tal (Beat/Rhythm), and Lyrics. The student declared winner for the Singing Competition was Varun Nair: B. Sc. Biology, I semester.
