Amity Idol season III was proposed and conceptualized by Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Amity University Uttar Pradesh under the mentorship of Prof. (Dr.) Suneela Dhaneshwar, Director, Amity Institute of Pharmacy, Deputy Dean Research (S & T), Head- Directorate of Research & Publications, Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow and faculty coordinators Dr.Nimisha Srivasatava, Dr. Dipti Srivasatava, Dr.Lucy Mohapatra, Ms. Supriya Roy, students’ coordinators Mr.Ratnakar Mishra, Mr.Sumendra, Ms.Monisha, Mr. Adarsh Dev, Mr.Shoib and Mr. Vishwajeet, Mr. Shikhar, Mr. Shankar Lal Tolani.
After a sensational preliminary selection of participants based on their video recordings received on mail by 26.2.22, judged by Prof.(Dr.) SuneelaDhaneshwar and Dr.Tanuj Mathur, faculty ABS, AUUP, Lucknow, out of 59participants from various institutes of Amity University Lucknow Campus(total 49 in number) as well as from different institutes from Lucknow and outside Lucknow(total 10 in number) like integral University, Hygiea Institute of Pharmacy, GLA University, Mathura; 45 best voices were selected for the semifinal round. Thereafter, these 45 participants were evaluated based on their video recordings on minus one track received on mail by 28.2.22. Finally, 12 melodious voices were selected for the Grand Finale which was held as the main event at the central stage on Thursday, 3rd March 2022 from 3.30 pm to 5.30 pm during Amiphoria 2022. The participants were also called on MS Teams twice for guiding them on the various aspects of the event before the Grand Finale.
The participants were screened and judged on the following criteria, sur, taal, expression, song selection, and overall performance in the Grand Finale. Our first guest and judge for the day was Ms. Neha Mathur who was honored with the title of "Sur Malika Swar Kokila" in Lucknow. Along with Ms. Neha Mathur, Prof. (Dr.) Suneela Dhaneshwar and Dr. Tanuj Mathur also judged the participants in the Grand Finale.
All 12 participants performed on the central stage during Amiphoria 2022 on their preference song tracks. The programme was attended by Honorable ProVC, Prof.(Dr.) Sunil Dhaneshwar, Prof. (Dr.) Manju Agarwal, Dean Student Welfare and Prof. of Psychology, Assistant ProVC Wg. Comd. Dr.Anil Tiwari, Director HR, HOI’s and HOD’s of Amity University Lucknow Campus, along with faculty, staff, and students of AUUP, Lucknow campus. The center stage was jam-packed and the audience enjoyed the performance of all 12 participants. The show was anchored by Ms.Sara Saeed Ms. Adeeba, student Pharm D 1st year, AIP. The show witnessed the most melodious, enthralling, and captivating performance by Ms. Neha Mathur. After the neck-to-neck performance, the winners were announced. The first runner-up was Mr. Shivam Yadav, B. Tech 6th Sem. GLA University, Mathura, and the winner was Mr. Areeb Anjum, BBA 6th Sem., Integral University, Lucknow. The winner received one guitar sponsored by Navin Kumar Dubey, Owner of Raftar Food Junction, a gift hamper by “The Heated Oven-A Home Bakery from Lucknow” along with a trophy. The runner-up received a JBL infinity headphone, sponsored by Ms. Hina Fatima, Managing Director and Co-Founder, and Mr. Zeeshan Ahmad, Co-Founder of Liman Pharmaceuticals Private Limited along with the gift hamper by “The Heated Oven-A Home Bakery from Lucknow” a trophy and a certificate.
