Mr. Ayush Saran, Assistant Professor, Amity Law School, Lucknow was the resource person for the day. He gave a detailed discussion on how people are exposed to the internet. Netizens is the term given to the person who uses and learns through the internet and social media. Earlier the internet was developed as a knowledge platform as we can learn things to gain knowledge but nowadays it has become a platform for committing cybercrimes. He focused that mostly educated people become victims of Cyber Crime.
Cybercrime is a criminal activity that either targets or uses a computer, a computer network, or a networked device. Most cybercrime is committed by cybercriminals or hackers who want to make money. However, occasionally cybercrime aims to damage computers or networks for reasons other than profit. These could be political or personal.He also talked about the ways to explore the cyber world safely and securely.
