Amity Institute of Pharmacy (AIP), AUUP Lucknow Campus, conducted a one-week extended e-Faculty Development Program (e-FDP) on the theme Artificial Intelligence Enabled Pharmaceutical Research: From Drug Discovery to Clinical Trial (AIEP–2025).' This intellectually enriching programme was held virtually from 26th to 30th May 2025 and brought together a diverse community of educators, researchers, and industry professionals from across the country.
The e-FDP was convened by Prof. (Dr.) Anuradha Mishra, Director, AIP, AUUP Lucknow, with support from the organising secretaries Prof. (Dr) Narahari Narayan Palei, Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Singh, and Dr Lucy Mohapatra. The event was formally inaugurated on 26th May 2025 at 10:00 AM via Zoom, setting the tone for a week of dynamic academic engagement.
Focused on the rapidly evolving role of Artificial Intelligence in pharmaceutical research, the FDP covered AI-driven innovations in drug discovery, molecular design, and clinical trials. Over the week, 15 eminent speakers from reputed academic institutions, research organisations, and industries from India and abroad delivered impactful sessions. The event featured three interactive sessions daily—two in the forenoon and one in the afternoon—moderated by senior faculty members from AIP.
A total of 246 faculty participants from across 18+ Indian states including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Odisha, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Assam, and others actively participated in the program. This multidisciplinary platform fostered meaningful interactions, knowledge-sharing, and collaborative learning.
AIEP–2025 exemplified AUUP’s commitment to academic excellence, technological integration, and continuous professional development. The event not only broadened the participants' understanding of AI applications in pharmacy but also inspired new directions for interdisciplinary research and innovation.
